About Me

I was born in the smallest country in Central America; El Salvador. My writings and art are inspired by my hometown, its humble residents and my experience as an immigrant in the United States.

My family and I migrated to the U.S. when I was 11 years old.  We fled the violence that was quickly taking over our beautiful nation. Leaving our home was never in our plans, but it was a decision we had to make to be alive today.

My life as an immigrant has shaped me into the woman I am today. Therefore, I share with you my thoughts, questions, flaws and hope through this blog.

Some of the best and most inspiring conversations have happened over a cup of coffee, hence, the name Coffee with Kenia. I am constantly trying to put my deepest thoughts into writing and share them with you all.

Life is too short to not write yourself into existence.

  1. You offer me something. It can be anything: knowledge, a feeling, a thought, a perspective, an inspiration, a connection. The ones that pull me in are the ones who share a piece of their world or knowledge with me in a genuine way. They always keep me coming back.

    You can follow me too!
